A new first day: Old Silas's pointing hand leads you through every order at your own pace — nothing locked off, and no buzzer when you try something of your own.
For your first few days he asks at the end of each shift whether you'd like his help tomorrow, and he stays on through the night's maintenance too.
Tell him you're ready to go it alone and the Mixers' Guild sends your apprenticeship certificate.
You can now turn the adverts off for good with a single payment.
Run dry with the adverts off and you can buy emergency paint outright, or have it put on the slate and settle up out of the next delivery.
The inspector now writes down what he actually found — the leaks, the dirt and the worn parts, item by item.
Fixed: button clicks that sometimes went silent, and a jar that landed askew on its way to the lorry.

Every certificate is pressed with the Mixers' Guild stamp as it's handed over — never quite square, never twice the same.
Fixed: a crash on some older Android phones, and sounds that could cut themselves short.

Peek inside the parts shop, upgrades workshop and R&D lab before they open, and Silas will tell you how long the fitters have left.
Keep on top of your orders and new colours arrive sooner.
The upgrades workshop now opens bay by bay between days 10 and 15, and upgrades cost more, so there's always something worth saving for.
The trade board no longer posts a daily notice.
The Mixers' Guild reminds new mixers that there's plenty still to learn.

Old Silas's notes from the works now arrive when they should, and carry the works' own mark.
The parts shop, upgrades workshop and R&D lab now show from your first day with the day each opens, and Silas counts down to them in the night's report.

10 September 2026

A new Stats tab: see how your takings and deliveries compare with every other works on the same day — the highest, the average, and your rank.
The trade board posts a notice each day: a colour it wants before the whistle, for a good word in return.
A pleased customer may offer a bonus — double a delivery's takings for watching an advert.

9 September 2026

Old Silas can send word when the works needs you, if you'd like him to. Never more than a note or two — turn it off any time under Options.
The Mixers' Guild writes on your second morning: your apprenticeship is served, and the Certificate of Competence goes up on the office wall — the first frame of many.
Word arrives of what's coming — the drawing office, colours you can't mix yet, the licence.
Come back after a day or so away and the kettle's on. Silas picks up where you left off, and he's got on with something useful in the meantime.

Kalabux is out on the App Store for iPhone and iPad, joining Google Play.
The morning post is better at showing you the way on. The pointing hand arrives sooner, and straight away if you tap somewhere that isn't the pile of letters.
Clearer wording where the foreman explains that one pull of the lever fills both jars.
On iPhone and iPad, the privacy and tracking questions are now asked in a sensible order.
